brie Ripley started
working for npr in 2013.

She has since worked for four public radio stations and has sold audio stories to broadcast programs and podcasts across the United States. The radio she creates is grounded in the art of a good interview.

Her personal audio documentary, Tie My Tubes, was well-received in 2016 and earned praise from listeners nationwide. In 2017, she collaborated with journalist and audio artist Davis Land to produce the mini series Dear: The Letters Between Two Friends.

In 2018, she won the Social Butterfly Award for documenting her team’s participation in KCRW’s 24-Hour #RadioRace. In addition to producing a dramatic video trailer and engaging her competitors on Twitter with tarot card readings, she received recognition from the esteemed judging panel of audio experts for the “inventive energy” demonstrated in her team’s submission, Other Side of the Closet.
